About The Position

737 Fuels Analysis and Propulsion Electrical Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Engineering Manager (Level K) to lead the 737 Fuels Analysis and Propulsion Electrical Teams based in Renton, WA. This position supports both the 737MAX and 737NG models. This position will have a strong emphasis on production and delivery support. It will also be focused on completing ATC related activities for the 737-7 & 737-10. As the manager, you will directly manage a multidisciplinary engineering staff that enables airplane production, timely deliveries, fleet safety, certification readiness, customer introduction configurations, and product sustainment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 8+ years of experience in an engineering related role (Aircraft engineering experience).
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership".

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with the 737 program or other commercial airplane program.
  • Experience working with propulsion OEMs, suppliers, or MROs.
  • Deep understanding of certification processes.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage, hire, mentor, develop, and retain the 737 Fuel Analysis and Propulsion Electrical engineering team supporting production, deliveries, and in-service fleet health.
  • Act as primary engineering interface for propulsion suppliers, OEM systems teams, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, certification, flight test, safety, and customer support to clear technical blockers and enable aircraft deliveries.
  • Define and enforce standard work, engineering processes, and operating rhythms (gating, peer/design reviews, risk management, configuration control) to produce predictable, auditable engineering products.
  • Collaborate with engineering unit members (E-UMs) to set priorities, identify and establish certification strategies, and drive closure to projects in a dynamic environment
  • Oversee the release and review of electrical functional schematic diagrams and providing input to wiring diagrams
  • Drive engineering solutions that balance safety, reliability, producibility, maintainability, and lifecycle cost while championing risk-based decisions and continuous improvement
  • Establish measurable performance metrics (e.g., time-to-resolution for production issues, first-pass yield, defect rates, engineering throughput) and use data to prioritize actions that support production and delivery goals
  • Manage budget, staffing, and resource allocation to meet production commitments and program milestones.

  • Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
  • Summary Pay range: $153,000 - $207,000
