Sierra Vista Unified School District is seeking passionate, dedicated coaches to join our athletic team for the 7/8th Grade Girls Soccer position for the Second Quarter of the 2026-2027 School Year. This is a seasonal position with competitive supplemental coaching salaries. Requirements

Similar athletic experience required
Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification
Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate or Arizona Coaching Certificate - optional
Have knowledge, skill and or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies.

Responsibilities

Coach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
Plan and schedule a regular program of practice in season.
Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms, as appropriate.
Maintain necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork.
Oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
Establishes performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in his sport.
Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and overseas penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
Utilize, with fidelity, the District Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program at the building level.
Ensure information obtained through the course of duties associated with this position is held in the highest of confidentiality.
Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies; including mandatory reporting procedures.
