About The Position

Guide students in mastering mathematical concepts to support their intellectual growth. Direct and assess students' learning experiences within school-sponsored math activities.

Requirements

  • Appropriate State of Indiana teaching certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a genuine desire to support all students in math.
  • Proficiency in instructional design and innovative math teaching methods, with deep knowledge of math instructional best practices and Indiana math academic standards.
  • Evidence of teacher-leadership experience in math and the ability to set and meet math goals collaboratively to drive results-oriented math systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records as per NLCS policy and state guidelines, adhering to professional ethics.
  • Foster cooperative professional relationships and model appropriate dress.
  • Administer classroom organization and management, ensuring discipline and control.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in math subject matter and approach it with enthusiasm.
  • Monitor student behavior and show respect to all stakeholders.
  • Provide clear, relevant math instruction and care for school math materials.
  • Foster positive school-community relationships and refer student math issues appropriately.
  • Participate in math-focused committees and co-curricular activities.
  • Demonstrate professional growth in math education and write clear instructional plans.
  • Prepare and execute math lesson plans on time, accommodating individual differences.
  • Assist in selecting math instructional materials and cooperate with math exceptional programs.
  • Attend math-focused meetings and fulfill other math-related duties as assigned.
  • Provide guidance and counseling in math to promote student math development.
  • Establish cooperative relationships with parents through effective communication about math.
  • Deliver clear math instruction, reinforce positive math behavior, and address undesirable math behavior professionally.
  • Assess student math progress periodically and assign relevant math homework with feedback.
  • Maintain accurate math student records and serve as a role model for ethical math conduct.
