About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Basketball Coach to lead our 6th Grade students in a seasonal program. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and running practices, coordinating games, and providing guidance and support to student athletes. This position is located at North Tapps Middle School.

Requirements

• 21 yrs of age
• Washington State Patrol background/fingerprint check
• Availability to work after school hours and weekends for practices and games
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Coaching experience in basketball
• Prior experience coaching at the middle level or above

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead practices for middle school students in basketball
• Coordinate with other coaches and school staff to schedule games
• Provide instruction and guidance to student athletes on proper basketball techniques and strategies
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and games
• Maintain accurate records of student participation and performance
• Communicate regularly with parents and school administration regarding team progress and upcoming events
• Foster a positive and supportive team environment that encourages sportsmanship and teamwork
