6N Med Surg Nurse - Faulkner
About The Position
Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking a 6N Med Surg Nurse for their 6 North unit, a 36-private bed general medicine/telemetry, progressive care unit. This unit provides services to adults and older adults with complex medical and psychosocial conditions, including acute and chronic care diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Diabetes, and Pneumonia. The unit is equipped with a complete array of monitoring systems, telemetry, and patient and staff safety devices. Additionally, eight beds are designated for an Addiction Recovery Program (ARP) serving adults seeking voluntary detoxification for alcohol and opiate misuse. Care is provided under the direction of the nursing leadership team by direct-care nurses in collaboration with medical providers, including mid-level practitioners (NP/PA).
Requirements
- BSN required.
- Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
- Certification in basic life Support for Healthcare providers required.
- Basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a Group of patients.
- Observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
- Ability to function under stress with good Interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Med./surg./Tele. experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct-care nursing services to adults and older adults with complex medical and psychosocial conditions.

- Apply hospital standards in area of service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.
