About The Position
The mission of Red Bank Elementary is to ensure all students learn at high levels through the provision of high quality instruction and a positive culture where educators model and develop leadership, innovation, ownership, and never-give-up grit. Red Bank Elementary boasts a collaborative culture and innovative resources as an award winning STEM Designation school with an eLab, Culinary Arts Lab, and Forest Program. Hamilton County Schools is committed to excellence for every student, with nearly 75 schools across the district, focused on helping all students thrive and experience a future without limits. This role is for a 5th Grade Teacher.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Tennessee teaching license in Elementary Education (K-5) OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
- Positive, student-focused educators with strong content and classroom management skills
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Committed to high expectations and academic achievement for all students
- Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus
- Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
- Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
- Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
- Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
- Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection
Benefits
- Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
- Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
