About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking a Catholic part-time 5th Grade teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom. This role involves teaching in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. While formal teaching certification or experience is not required, the ideal candidate will have a deep love for the Catholic faith, be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, and live the Catholic faith daily. The academy provides curriculum and grading guidelines, and tutors receive training in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The position is hourly, with childcare/nursery provided. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training.

Requirements

• Must be Catholic.
• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
• Standard computer skills (Google Suite or equivalent is a plus).
• Must be available to attend mandatory training on August 3, 4, and 6, 2026.
• Must have a clear background check.
• Must complete RCA Safe Child training.

• Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
• Experience in ministry in a Catholic parish.
• Experience teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
• Experience teaching one's own children.
• Experience teaching in a classical or private school.

Responsibilities
