About The Position

Match Charter Public School is seeking a 5th Grade ELA Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a full-time position at Match's elementary school campus located at 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park, Boston, MA. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
At least two years of full-time experience as a classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting
Meet teacher certification requirements set by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or can meet the certification requirements within a year of date of hire
Believe that all students can and will succeed
Desire to continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback
Have a proven record of student growth and achievement
Current US work authorization

Responsibilities

Teach 5th grade ELA blocks
Plan lessons and student materials using existing curriculum
Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there
Participate actively in Match’s coaching and professional development programming
Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time
Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community
