About The Position

Stockbridge Community School District is seeking a part-time 5th/6th STEAM Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. This position involves teaching two classes per day, focusing on delivering engaging STEAM lessons that incorporate science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The ideal candidate will create a positive and inclusive learning environment, provide hands-on, project-based learning experiences, and integrate technology and real-world applications into instruction. Collaboration with other teachers, assessment of student learning, and active participation in the school community are also key aspects of this role. Punctual and reliable attendance is required.

Requirements

Elementary K-8 All Subjects or Upper Elementary Education
Highly qualified status to meet state and federal requirements.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Responsibilities

Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Plans and delivers engaging STEAM lessons for 5th and 6th grade students.
Provide hands-on, project-based learning experiences that connect science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to engage and explore new ideas.
Integrate technology and real-world applications into instruction when appropriate.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to support cross-curricular learning and student success.
Establish clear classroom expectations and maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
Assess student learning and use feedback to guide instruction.
Participate as a contributing member of the school community.
Punctual, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.
Other duties as assigned.
