About The Position

Wacousta Elementary is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a 4th Grade Teacher. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for elementary education.
• Experience teaching in a classroom setting, preferably at the elementary level.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Proficient in utilizing technology for instruction and classroom management.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with staff.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of 4th-grade students.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing timely feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and contribute to a positive school culture.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the curriculum to engage students.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
• Address and support the individual needs of students, including those with special educational requirements.
• Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities that promote student engagement.
