About The Position

St. Edmund’s Academy seeks a dedicated and dynamic teacher with a minimum of 3 years of current experience for a Fourth Grade Homeroom Teacher position. The Fourth Grade Homeroom Teacher leads a classroom while working collaboratively with learning specialists to support students’ remediation and enrichment needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, using the school's core curricula to teach language arts, math, and social studies, responding to students' individual learning and developmental needs, collaborative communication with parents, and supporting community initiatives. The Fourth Grade Homeroom Teacher will be responsible for implementing the curriculum with joy and creativity and in collaboration with the Director of Lower School to ensure alignment of the school’s philosophy and practices. Candidates must have an outstanding record teaching early childhood or elementary school-aged groups. The ability to be collaborative, detail-oriented and innovative is essential. Excellent writing skills and strong verbal communication are expected. The candidate must model and champion the school’s core values including an overt commitment to inclusion and belonging for all members of the school’s diverse community. Requirements
