About The Position

The Elementary Teacher delivers engaging, data-driven instruction in a K–5 classroom setting, manages classroom culture, and supports the whole-child development of each student. Global Educational Excellence (GEE) operates a network of charter schools across Southeast Michigan focused on academic achievement and community. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate elementary endorsement, or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education
• Satisfactory criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• Candidates who do not yet hold a Michigan teaching certificate may qualify through enrollment in GEE's Career Advancement Program (CAP), which provides a supported pathway to Michigan certification. CAP eligibility is determined at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver standards-aligned instruction that produces measurable student growth
• Build positive, achievement-focused relationships with students
• Use formative and summative assessment data to adjust instruction and meet individual student needs
• Implement a tiered system of support within the classroom
• Coordinate instruction within and across grade levels
• Communicate regularly with parents, coaches, and administrators regarding student progress
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and collaborative planning sessions
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom environment
