About The Position

BridgePrep Academy Polk County is seeking a dedicated 4th Grade Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The school provides a nurturing, high-performing learning environment with Spanish language immersion, classroom technology, and character development. The teacher will deliver standards-aligned math instruction and help students build foundational skills and prepare for middle school success.

The role is based at BridgePrep Academy Polk in Davenport, Florida, and reports to the Principal or Campus Administrator. The listed salary is $45,072–$54,419, including base pay and potential math certification and master’s supplements. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Valid or eligible Florida Educator Certificate in Elementary Education (Grades K–6) or Mathematics (Grades 5–9).
• Ability to successfully pass a Level 2 Florida Care Provider Background Screening.

Nice To Haves

• ESOL Endorsement or Certification.
• Prior upper-elementary teaching experience.
• Familiarity with Florida B.E.S.T. Mathematics Standards and the HMH Go Math curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver interactive, standards-aligned math lessons that develop conceptual understanding, curiosity, and problem-solving skills in operations, fractions, geometry, and data.
• Use hands-on manipulatives and visual models in instruction.
• Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom with high expectations that supports student self-esteem, character development, and academic confidence.
• Differentiate instruction and use data-driven small groups to support diverse learning styles, English Language Learners, and varied math skill levels.
• Participate in professional development, weekly team planning, and instructional coaching.
• Maintain active, transparent partnerships and communication with families.
