About The Position
St. Michael’s Catholic School in Cuero, TX is looking to hire a fourth grade teacher in anticipation of growth for the 2026/2027 academic year. St. Michael’s Cuero is a parochial school that is about to celebrate its 150th year of educational service to children and their families in the Diocese of Victoria, TX. Having a warm, family ethos, the school has a rich history in rural southeast Texas; the school is located about two hours from both Houston and San Antonio. Currently St. Michael’s is transitioning from a standard educational approach to a classical approach and has begun to partner with Hillsdale College in offering a curriculum that is rooted in ancient Jerusalem, Athens, Rome, as well as the American tradition. Thus, St. Michael’s is seeking applicants who are enthusiastic about classical education and are willing to tackle the exciting challenge of transitioning a school into a fully Catholic, classical model. Candidates for the position should have a deep respect and appreciation for the Catholic faith, the Catholic intellectual, liturgical, and artistic traditions, and also a respect for the unique contributions of the American experiment.
