Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Experience working with preschool or 4K-aged children in a licensed childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early childhood curriculum
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build warm, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Must meet Wisconsin state licensing requirements for lead teacher qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans for 4K students
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Observe, assess, and document each child's developmental progress and milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and classroom activities
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom setting
- Collaborate with school leadership and fellow educators to uphold Goddard School standards and best practices
