About The Position

Primarily responsible for loading feed trucks with appropriate feed type and quantity. Obtain daily samples of all feed types per company sampling requirements and policies. Performs work in compliance with all company policies, GMP’s, FSMA regulations, local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. Requirements

  • Intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply and/or divide proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.).
  • Basic computer knowledge and usage skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
  • Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
  • Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.
  • Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.
  • Frequently climb stairs and 50+ foot ladders.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 - 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Constantly subject to dusty, hot environments.
  • Frequently work in loud environment requiring ear protection.
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Ability to work at heights of 200+ ft.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack with 2,000+ lbs. of material.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in working with agricultural and/or farm equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Loading feed trucks with appropriate feed type and quantity.
  • Obtaining daily samples of all feed types per company sampling requirements and policies.
  • Operating feed bulk load-out system.
  • Communicating and coordinating schedule and production with personnel to maximize efficiency.
  • Reporting equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel in a timely manner to reduce down time.
  • Taking and recording daily inventories.
  • Providing documentation on feed invoices and ingredient weight tickets as requested.
  • Following all safety and quality procedures.
  • Working in compliance with all company policies, GMP’s, FSMA regulations and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
