About The Position

Full time elementary classroom teacher assigned to a third grade classroom.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Elementary Endorsement (ZC, ZE, ZG, ZO or ZP)
• Strong understanding of child development and evidence-based instructional practices
• Experience implementing a multi-tiered system of supports for academics and behavior, including targeted interventions, progress monitoring and data-based instructional decision-making
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
• Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior in a fair and consistent manner while promoting a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment

Benefits

• Compensation paid in accordance with the DEA Master Agreement.
• Up to three (3) years of verified public school teaching experience shall be credited for placement on the salary schedule.
