Full time elementary classroom teacher assigned to a third grade classroom.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Elementary Endorsement (ZC, ZE, ZG, ZO or ZP)
Strong understanding of child development and evidence-based instructional practices
Experience implementing a multi-tiered system of supports for academics and behavior, including targeted interventions, progress monitoring and data-based instructional decision-making
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior in a fair and consistent manner while promoting a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment

Compensation paid in accordance with the DEA Master Agreement.
Up to three (3) years of verified public school teaching experience shall be credited for placement on the salary schedule.
