Requirements

  • An active K-6 or PK-4 Elementary Pennsylvania Teaching Certification is required for this position.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the physical and psychological aspects of elementary aged children.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must understand and be able to teach the approved curriculum.
  • Criminal Record Check (less than one year old)
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
  • FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old)
  • TB Test/Mantoux (less than 3 months old)
  • Physical - if applicable (less than 1 year old)

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates who possess multiple certifications are preferred.
  • Prior experience as an elementary school teacher is preferred.
  • Special education certification is preferred.
  • Individuals trained in The Danielson Framework for Teaching
  • Individuals trained in Differentiated Instruction: Guided Reading & Guided Math
  • Individuals trained in Mastery Learning
