About The Position

Sealevel Construction, Inc. is seeking a 3D Structural Designer/Drafter to join their team. This role is responsible for producing accurate shop detail drawings, erection plans, advance mil tests, and bills of materials. The ideal candidate will interpret and incorporate customer designs and specifications, establish material lists, and ensure drawings are delivered according to customer schedules. This position also involves reviewing contract drawings, maintaining design records, and communicating with employees regarding blueprints and assembly processes. Requirements

An Associate’s or two-year drafting degree preferred.
Two years of experience in structural designing preferred.
Experience with Solidworks preferred.
Experience with Tekla SDS2 Advanced Steel preferred.

Responsibilities

Promotes, executes, and adheres to the company’s safety program.
Produces accurate shop detail drawings, erection plans, advance mil tests and bill of materials.
Interprets and incorporates accurately customer’s designs and specifications for shop drawings to meet quality requirements.
Establishes a material list identifying grade, size and quantity for each job.
Delivers drawings according to customer schedule.
Reviews contract drawings for all requirements on a project.
Starts and maintains a record of all design and drawings in current drawing log.
Produces anchor bolt plans, erection, assembly, and shop drawings required to complete fabrication and erection of a project.
Verifies fabrication drawings on hard copy.
Provides updates to Drafting Manager on project progress.
Communicates with employees to explain blueprints and assembly process.
Performs other duties as required based on company’s needs.
