About The Position

The 3D Imaging Specialist performs reconstruction of images from MRI, CT scan, and angiography. This position requires advanced knowledge in cross sectional and vascular anatomy. The 3 D Imaging Specialist has the ability to interact well with various staff and physicians. He/she acts as a liaison between software companies, Information Systems, referring physicians and the 3D lab. The 3 D imaging Specialist trains/precepts technologists and various clinical and medical students in 3 D reconstruction and supervises staff for the 3 D modality.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge in cross sectional and vascular anatomy.
• Ability to interact well with various staff and physicians.
• Graduate from a 2-4 year credited Radiology program from an accredited college or university.
• Possesses a current license as a State of Ohio Radiographer.
• Registered with the ARRT in diagnostic Radiology.
• Ability to teach, precept, assess and evaluate 3D technologists’ skills.
• Performs time management and maintains productivity.
• Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with others.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiate independent actions.

Nice To Haves

• Additional modality registries preferred.
• 2 years experience in CT scan, Angio or Cath lab.
• 2 years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs reconstruction of images from MRI, CT scan, and angiography.
• Acts as a liaison between software companies, Information Systems, referring physicians and the 3D lab.
• Trains/precepts technologists and various clinical and medical students in 3D reconstruction.
• Supervises staff for the 3D modality.
• Communicates and presents 3D findings and processes on an individual and larger audience level.
