About The Position

Precise Systems is seeking an Intermediate 3D Graphic Artist to join their training system development team in Orlando, FL. This team is involved in the creation of various 3D virtual training products for a DoD customer. The role requires a comprehensive understanding and capability in 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation for game-based, 3D virtual training systems. Experience through independent work or school projects is acceptable, though professional game development experience is ideal. An online portfolio of relevant 3D artwork is mandatory for consideration. This position may offer a hybrid work arrangement, but employees must be available and willing to travel and provide in-office or on-site support as dictated by customer requirements, project demands, or business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia and Animation, Computer Animation, Digital Arts and Design, or Game Art, or Equivalent education.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of simulation training or equivalent game development experience.
  • Secret level clearance (Interim) required to begin work.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional game development experience
  • Experience with PBR material authoring tools such as Quixel or Substance Painter
  • Proficient with at least one major 3D package like 3DS Max, Maya, or Blender
  • Experience with polygonal optimization and LOD creation
  • Experience with asset pipeline, integrating 3D models, textures etc. into Unity 3D
  • Experience with the creation of simple rigged body and rigged animations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to integrate director feedback quickly
  • Flexible to changes in production
  • Able to shift focus between a range of tasks

Responsibilities

  • Adhering to an asset pipeline for integrating 3D models and textures into Unity 3D
  • Creating both high and low poly models
  • Generating normal maps from high poly assets
  • Applying understanding of UV layout for efficient texture usage
  • Creating textures with a PBR material authoring tool such as Quixel or Substance Painter
  • Retopologizing, UV & texturing assets from reference
  • Finishing tasks within a given time frame
