About The Position

ENERCON’s Data Center Mission Critical Group is seeking a 3D Electrical Staff Designer to join the team based in one of our various office locations across the U.S. Join our dynamic engineering team as an experienced designer/drafter and elevate your career by creating and refining detailed drawings, conducting site walkdowns, and collaborating closely with engineers. You'll utilize advanced tools like REVIT, adhere to strict quality and safety standards, and mentor junior team members, all while working on diverse and exciting projects. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in related field with a minimum of 1 year of design engineering experience OR Associates Degree in related field with minimum 6 years of design engineering experience OR minimum of 10 years of experience
Proficient with both 2D and 3D design software, AutoCAD and Revit is required, BIM360 preferred
Working knowledge of basic engineering techniques, principals, standards, and concepts for assigned engineering discipline; competent in the basic concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Electrical Design codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of design
Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs

Responsibilities

Create and/or modify detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT.
Create and modify REVIT families and incorporate them into design.
Understand AutoCAD national standards.
Perform internal reviews and clash detection of designs using NAVISWORK or REVIT.
Display high attention to details; perform peer checks for other designers.
Perform walkdowns at client sites and generate walkdown reports.
Work directly with Engineering and other designers for design concept interpretation.
Conduct self-checks of created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product.
May review the work of other designers/drafters and provide mentoring and leadership.
Has ability to communicate internally with engineers and designers and is very organized.
Understand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives.
Meet applied time goals set for position/discipline.
