About The Position

LeClaire Manufacturing is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented 3D Core Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on, entry-level manufacturing position working with 3D printed sand cores used in our aluminum casting operations. The 3D Core Technician is responsible for cleaning and finishing printed sand cores after the harvesting process and preparing them for the next step in the manufacturing process. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing a job correctly, and can carefully handle parts that may be fragile or easily damaged.

Requirements

No previous 3D printing experience required — we will train the right person.
Good attention to detail and ability to identify visible defects.
Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently while also being part of a production team.
Comfortable working with hand tools and production equipment.
Ability to safely lift, carry, and handle materials as required by the position.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or other hands-on work experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Clean 3D printed sand cores using hand tools, compressed air, vacuums, and other approved cleaning equipment.
Remove loose and excess sand from printed cores.
Visually inspect cores for damage, broken features, excess sand, or other defects.
Carefully handle and move cores to prevent damage during cleaning, inspection, and packaging.
Follow established cleaning procedures and quality requirements for different core designs.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communicate any quality concerns or damaged cores to the appropriate team member.
Perform other related production duties as needed.
