About The Position

This role involves maintaining comprehensive records related to the practice of pharmacy and the 340B program. Key responsibilities include managing audit documentation, corrective action plans, contracts, software uploads, eligibility verification, and vendor agreements. The position also entails educating staff on 340B requirements, performing software maintenance, updating databases, verifying pricing accuracy, and reporting discrepancies. Additionally, the role supports contract reviews, assists with internal audits, manages project implementations for new pharmacies and vendors, monitors data interfaces and eligibility rules, and collaborates with various stakeholders to optimize the 340B referral program.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records related to the practice of pharmacy and the 340B program, including audit documentation, corrective action plans, TPA and CP contracts, 340B ESP uploads, manufacturer eligibility, and vendor statements of work.
  • Educate pharmacy staff and others about 340B program requirements as they relate to their individual workflows.
  • Perform mapping functions and other maintenance in the 340B split billing software program under the direction of the 340B Coordinator.
  • Maintain and update the HRSA/OPA database.
  • Verify pricing to ensure 340B price accuracy and report any errors found to the 340B committee.
  • Evaluate price discrepancies from the wholesaler and report them to Apexus or HRSA if necessary.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacy Supervisor in reviewing and negotiating purchasing contracts related to 340B.
  • Assist 340B Auditors and the Compliance Officer in conducting monthly internal audits of both in-house and contract pharmacy 340B transactions.
  • Serve as project manager for the implementation of new contract pharmacies, new wholesalers, and new referral or compliance vendors.
  • Monitor the connectivity of data interfaces and the accuracy of eligibility rules.
  • Work with physician practice managers, physicians, and administration to achieve maximum viability of the 340B referral program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
