About The Position

The 310T Truck & Coach Technician or Apprentice is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of company vehicles to meet both Ministry and company standards. The successful candidate’s expertise in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems, combined with strong problem-solving skills, will ensure reliable fleet performance and exceptional service throughout the Halton area.

Requirements

  • Adhere to Miller Waste safety protocols and be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving faults, with hands-on expertise in repairing and maintaining hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Hold and maintain a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's license, along with any other required licenses.
  • Must have at least a valid G Driver’s Licence.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment and work effectively within a team.
  • Flexible and available to work outside of the regular schedule when there are delays in the truck schedule; may be required to work outside regular scheduled hours and on rare occasions, weekend work.

Nice To Haves

  • DZ Licence would be an asset.
  • Due to a planned site expansion, the successful candidate may be required to transition to the Milton location in 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Service and repair of all Company vehicles to ministry standards and Miller Waste standards.
  • Repair and road test equipment, including hydraulics and electrical, as well as shop maintenance.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
  • Conduct on-road service calls, as required.
