About The Position

This is a per diem Registered Nurse position for nights on the new 3 East unit in the new building at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care. The role requires the nurse to demonstrate initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs. The nurse will assume full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of patient care and will report to a designated nurse manager or supervisor. The Staff Nurse will also ensure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.

Requirements

BSN required
Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required
Basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients
Ability to demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities
Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards

Nice To Haves

Membership in a professional nursing organization preferred
Good interpersonal and communication skills
