As an Apprentice Plumber / Gas Fitter, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside experiences Journeypersons, learning the trade while installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems. Requirements

  • Registered apprentice with the Alberta Industry Training (AIT) or willing to register
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and following regulations
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and climbing
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Previous plumbing or construction experience is an asset, but is not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in both multi-family residential and commercial buildings
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (2nd to 4th year)
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and learn to diagnose system failures.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures on job sites
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
  • Attend required technical training and work towards Red Seal certification.
  • Ability to adhere to company guidelines for installations, quality control procedures & maintaining our expectations for quality workmanship
  • Required to complete Field Level Hazard Assessments daily
  • Perform other duties as assigned
