About The Position

We are currently seeking a 2nd shift Team Lead for our metal manufacturing operations in Little Chute, WI. This is a great opportunity to make a critical impact as you work with manufacturing leaders and team members to drive continuous improvements and meet and exceed quality, cost and other goals. This role is an opportunity for a driven candidate to join a company with a strong growth path. The ideal candidate would have experience in Powder Coating or Sheet Metal Fabrication. Work days: Mon-Thurs 2:45pm-12:45am. In addition to base pay - there is a shift differential of $1.50 for all 2nd shift work.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5+ years experience supervising production and employees in the sheet metal industry.
  • Must have manufacturing experience in sheet metal industry
  • Ability to lead a team and make decisions for the business
  • Microsoft experience: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP system preferred Kinetic but not necessarily
  • Experience in Powder Coating or Sheet Metal Fabrication

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of manufacturing departments in a metal manufacturing setting.
  • Influence, track, and hold the team accountable for KPIs - including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (SQDC), the output of critical components, plant productivity, etc.
  • Confidently make timely decisions that will positively impact production, results, and customer satisfaction
  • Distributes workload to production staff through department leads.
  • Train employees on processes and machine set-ups
  • Audit employee time and production efficiencies, providing coaching for improvements on attendance and performance as needed
  • Consult with engineering to modification of jobs to improve production and quality of products.
  • Comply with the requirements of the ISO Quality Management System and departmental procedures and work-instructions.
  • This position is a working lead and would need to be working alongside the production staff
