About The Position

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor for their Outbound Warehouse. This role involves supervising team leaders and warehouse associates in picking and packing orders using Dematic warehouse automation. The supervisor will ensure staff is trained in picking, packing, and quality control, balance staffing needs with order fulfillment, and collaborate with maintenance to keep the Dematic system operational. They will also communicate status updates to other supervisors and managers, motivate employees to meet productivity and efficiency goals, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Cooper Electric Supply, LLC offers electrical products and services to contractors and operates throughout the northeast as part of the Sonepar group, a global electrical distributor.

Requirements

Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
Attention to detail and good time management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to exercise safety while carrying out all job responsibilities.
Ability to operate computers and/or relevant warehouse computer software.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision to team leaders and warehouse associates who are assigned to pick and pack orders utilizing Dematic warehouse automation.
Ensure that staff is appropriately trained in picking/packing, and quality control.
Balance staffing needs while fulfilling customer orders.
Work closely with maintenance mechanics to ensure that Dematic system is fully operational.
Communicate status updates throughout the evening with the other shift supervisors and managers.
Motivate employees to meet productivity goals and efficiency goals.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
