About The Position

The Supervisor Warehouse is essential to timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Reporting directly to site leadership, the Supervisor will direct routine and advanced assignments related to receiving, including power forklift and company vehicle operation. The Supervisor will delegate athletes and resources into as needed to complete all manner of shipping, kitting, intra-company delivery via company vehicles, material handling, product picking, special labeling and packing using handheld technology and inventory software systems in order to fulfill customer orders on-time. Will work collaboratively with other site Supervisors to accomplish complex projects, address athlete corrective and commendation actions, and effectively carry out priorities established by Planning and Site Leadership. This position requires sustained moderate physical activity throughout the shift, including ability to crouch, climb, push, pull, reach, lift and carry. Supervisors will be assigned in varying work centers and it is essential that they are prepared to report to secondary work centers, building locations, or alternate shift patterns as directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, with no moving violations in the last three years
  • 36 months general warehouse or shipping/receiving experience
  • Close attention to detail
  • Understand written instruction
  • Proficient data entry skills and software applications including Microsoft Suite, Infor Powerlink/FMS, and the ability to learn new software programs as needed.
  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining mental focus.
  • General knowledge of warehouse, shipping, and receiving procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of manufacturing processes, order flow, bills of material, shop packets materials and supplies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess relevant facts, identify alternative approaches and supply recommended solutions.
  • Ability to read and follow instruction
  • Ability to drive a power forklift and attain power forklift operator’s certificate.
  • Ability to count accurately and perform simple math functions
  • Ability to inspect materials and finished products for defects
  • Ability to drive all company vehicles including daylight, nighttime and inclement weather conditions.
  • Maintain current certifications: PIT, DOT Physical/License, Fall protection
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to participate in a team lift of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the selection, training, time-keeping, coaching and career development of warehouse athletes.
  • With guidance from HR, EHS and Site Leadership, assists in the investigation and follow up for all personnel issues, safety violations and/or accidents.
  • Responsible for effective and timely internal communication with fellow Supervisors, Site Leadership, Planning, and other departments to hit company goals as directed.
  • Leverage systems and technology to ensure accurate status of WIP and make data-informed decisions together with stakeholders regarding shipping based on fulfillment and individual customer criteria.
  • The Supervisor Warehouse will oversee and delegate tasks to department athletes daily in order to accomplish: Receiving of raw materials, parts, supplies, and finished goods from vendors.
  • Proper inspection of received goods for damage, quantity, size, weight, and product description.
  • Proper Verification that packages are properly labeled including hazardous chemicals and reports all deficiencies to leadership.
  • Verification of goods received meet specifications of purchase order.
  • Proper inspection of purchased parts, assemblies, accessories and materials for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments and devices; Examines items for defects in materials, work and damage that may have occurred in transit.
  • Completion of receiving documents and routing of material to appropriate department.
  • Correct entry of receiving data in computer.
  • Proper Load/unload of deliveries using power forklift and/or other manually operated lifts.
  • Safe operation of company vehicles including but not limited to box truck, forklift, and company leased or owned vehicles to deliver parts, equipment and supplies between buildings.
  • Completion of general warehouse duties including, but not limited to shipping, kitting, intra-company delivery via company vehicle, stocking, data entry, fulfilment of BOMs and internal supply orders, picking at a 98% accuracy rate, and packaging according to customer specification.
  • Participates in cycle counts and year-end physical inventory.
  • Performs general housekeeping and department six sigma activities.
  • Adheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements.
  • Treats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
