About The Position

Interact with Materials Specialist Team Leader to assess customer production shipment requirements and provide needed information and direction for the purpose of assisting the Materials Specialist Team Leader to meet the Customer’s expectations at levels of productivity that meet or exceed the established plan. This position coordinates the implementation and continuous improvement of our customer production shipments. It manages activities relating to receiving, handling, packaging, preservation and storage of customer-supplied dunnage, raw materials, tooling, and miscellaneous mail packages. It also manages activities relating to handling, packaging, preservation and storage of OK to SHIP product and shipping/receiving documentation. The role coordinates and maintains dock audit records of packaging and bar-code labeling for OK to SHIP products and PPAP products. In addition, this position indirectly coordinates which product is Final Audited. In addition to the above responsibilities, this position is responsible for other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A working knowledge of Windows Microsoft operating systems and QAD.
  • Knowledgeable in Customer-Specific Packaging, Shipping, and Labeling Requirements
  • Knowledgeable in AIAG Production Parts Approval Process
  • Knowledgeable in AIAG Bar Code Labeling Requirements
  • Knowledgeable in Direct Data Link (DDL)
  • Knowledgeable in QAD ERP system
  • Knowledgeable in Plexus ERP System

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Materials and/or directing the materials function is preferred
  • Also knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred

Responsibilities
