About The Position

The Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School community is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and innovative Second Grade teacher to join our award-winning school. Our Second Grade teachers help students build strong academic foundations while fostering creativity, curiosity, confidence, and independence. Grade-level teams work collaboratively to design engaging learning experiences that integrate literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts, encouraging students to make meaningful connections across disciplines and develop a love of learning. Requirements

  • Successful candidates must possess strong instructional practices, excellent classroom management skills, and a deep commitment to the academic and social-emotional development of young children.
  • Connecticut State Certification 305 (Elementary Education) or other appropriate Connecticut certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching primary elementary students and a demonstrated ability to support diverse learners is preferred.
  • Candidates with experience or interest in arts integration, project-based learning, social-emotional learning, and STEAM education are encouraged to apply.
