About The Position

Wicehtowak Frontec Services is seeking a 2nd Cook to join our team in Jansen, SK. The 2nd Cook is responsible for preparing a wide variety of foods and meals, made and served to the highest standard possible. They are responsible for inspecting food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Where We Work and Live:

The Jansen Discovery Lodge is a workforce housing facility in support of the BHP Jansen potash mine. The camp is located 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, SK. 

Our positions work on a 14 day on, 7 days off rotation. Accommodations and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company.

Requirements

• Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking
• The successful candidate must hold a valid food safety certificate
• 2-3 years’ experience as 2nd cook in the hotel/restaurant industry
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Professional communication skills, oral, and written
• Work well under pressure

Responsibilities

• Ensure meals are prepared and severed to the highest standard
• Support kitchen operations in a professional manner
• Knowledgeable with the equipment that you are required to use in a safe manner
• Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Leave your workplace in a clean and tidy manner
• Other duties as assigned by management from time to time
