About the Role Founded in 2006, Pirkey Barber is one of the largest firms in the United States focused on trademark, trade dress, copyright, and unfair competition law. We are frequently recognized as one of the leading trademark firms in the country. Pirkey Barber does not handle patents. Our attorneys represent clients around the world in trademark-related matters, including intellectual property litigation, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office proceedings, domain name disputes, trademark policing, clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, trade dress, advertising counseling and false advertising litigation, social media and other online branding issues, and anti-counterfeiting enforcement. We have guided a wide range of extraordinary clients through dynamic shifts in technology and the world economy that have profoundly affected strategies for protecting and enforcing brands and content. We represent clients from a variety of industries, and our attorneys are well-versed in both prosecution and adversarial matters. We are seeking a 2L Summer Associate to join our 6-week program in the second half of summer in Austin, TX. Summer Associates are expected to work in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Requirements
- Class of 2028 J.D. Student
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to the highest quality of client service
Nice To Haves
- Law journal experience and GPA in the top quarter of class are strongly preferred.
- A science background is not required.
