2L Spring Intern 2027 (District Attorney's Office)
About The Position
This internship position is for current 2L law students who have completed one full year of law school prior to their internship start date. The 23rd Judicial District Attorney's Office offers law students a unique opportunity to conduct meaningful work on real criminal cases. Working alongside experienced prosecutors, interns will be involved in all aspects of criminal prosecution from the investigative stage through trial. This includes cases involving murder, sexual assault, aggravated robbery, and other violent crimes. Interns will research legal issues, assist in drafting pleadings, observe courtroom proceedings, review felony filings, and prepare exhibits for trial. The program is designed for law students considering a career in criminal prosecution, with the goal of preparing them to return as 3L interns and potentially as deputy district attorneys. The office provides a supportive and engaging work environment with various social events and team activities.
Requirements
- Currently attending law school.
- Must have completed the first year of law school.
- 2L law student applicants.

Responsibilities
- Conduct meaningful work on real criminal cases.

- Review new felony filings for potential evidentiary challenges.
