This internship supports FamilyAid’s two-generation (2Gen) programming, a model developed by the Aspen Institute that focuses on holistic, two-generation solutions for families experiencing homelessness. Serving as an on-site partner liaison at one of FamilyAid’s congregate family shelter sites (West Newton or Brookline), the intern will facilitate collaboration between shelter staff, 2Gen Navigators, and community partners to ensure programming is effectively implemented and meets the needs of families. Responsibilities include community engagement, volunteer coordination, and operational support for planned initiatives. This position is ideal for students interested in macro social work, program development, and building the community partnerships that strengthen services for families.
