About The Position

Caruso is a family-owned, 4th generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat, and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores all over the USA. We are looking for an experienced 3rd Shift Box Truck Driver. The delivery driver is responsible for making deliveries to area customers starting between 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday but must be flexible with the pickup time and be able to work 13-hour shifts. The route goes to Bloomington IL, Peoria IL, and back to Woodridge IL.

Requirements

Minimum of 12 months of verifiable 18ft to 26ft box truck driving experience in the last 3 years.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to work third shift.
Must have verifiable box truck driving experience.
Must maintain a good driving record with none of the following: reckless driving, DUI/OMVI, hit and run, or excessive speed as defined by DOT (15+ mph over the posted limit).
Must have no preventable accidents.
Must have no more than two moving violations within the last 24 months.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to work and drive in all-weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a company-provided commercial motor vehicle.
Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.
Complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) as required.
Follow all DOT regulations, safety standards, and company safety procedures.
Deliver products to customers safely, courteously, and on time.
Load, unload, and deliver products according to customer specifications.
Obtain required customer signoffs and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service.
Review and verify invoices and purchase requests for accuracy.
Maintain required delivery logs, records, and documentation.
Use proper lifting techniques and follow safety protocols during all deliveries.
