About The Position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is hiring a Community Engagement intern for its paid, full-time summer internship program. The program is cohort-based and provides meaningful functional work, mentorship, professional networking, exposure to central banking and senior leaders, and learning and development opportunities. The internship lasts approximately 10–12 weeks, beginning in mid-to-late May and concluding in August. This position is located in the Dallas office and may focus specifically on the banking or energy sectors. The team connects with outside expertise through events and other opportunities to exchange information, then analyzes what it learns to inform the Dallas Fed’s understanding of the 11th District economy. The intern will engage with business and community leaders, monitor economic trends, prepare policy-relevant materials, support outreach programs, and use Salesforce to assess outreach effectiveness.

Requirements

Undergraduate or graduate coursework focused on economics, business, public policy, or a related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
General understanding of economics.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; the role is not available for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Speak with business and community leaders about current economic conditions.
Follow trends in banking, energy, and the broader economy to help identify priority issues for outreach discussions.
Draft summaries and briefs conveying policy-relevant information to senior leaders at the Bank.
Support the planning and execution of outreach meetings and programs.
Use Salesforce CRM to track, analyze, and improve outreach effectiveness.
