Kickstart your career with hands-on experience at New England’s largest electric utility. As an Eversource Engineering co-op, you’ll gain real-world exposure to the energy industry while receiving professional development, coaching, and training. Co-ops are valued team members, contributing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions across a variety of projects. The Engineering Capital Projects team focuses on improving the safe and reliable design and operation of the electrical transmission and distribution system. As a co-op you will collaborate with and support senior engineering staff in managing the work of the engineering disciplines and in being the single point of contact between engineering and other teams on major projects related to Eversource Energy transmission and distribution systems. Assignments will be focused on one or more technical areas depending upon the company’s needs and the interests and capabilities of the student. Focal areas include: High Voltage Electric substation, Engineering Project Management, and coordination of technical matters. Students can expect a challenging experience in an energetic and supportive environment where, in addition to working with experienced engineers, they will work closely with other co-op students. Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
