About The Position

Assist with On-Site Execution: Support setup and operations of hospitality venues, including access control, venue cleanliness, and logistical coordination. Communicate & Troubleshoot: Help manage internal and external communication - responding to client requests, problem-solving in real time, and ensuring a smooth event experience. Build Relationships: Represent the USGA with professionalism while engaging with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Learn & Develop: Gain exposure to event planning, client management, partnership activation, and multiple USGA departments involved in championship execution. Pitch In Where Needed: Support additional hospitality and operational tasks to ensure the success of the championship experience. Internship Dates: June 1, 2026 - June 22, 2026 Pay Rate: $17.00/hr + overtime Where You'll Be: This position is located onsite at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in the exciting world of sports hospitality while contributing to the success of the USGA's events and partnerships. Requirements

  • Undergrad students preferred
  • Able to lift heavy items while practicing Safe Lifting and/or with the assistance of others
  • Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time (12+ hours)
  • Strong organizational, planning, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively execute directions
  • Collaborative, high energy, and spirited
  • Creative thinker and problem-solver
  • Interest in hospitality and service
