About The Position

Atlas Staffing has partnered with a premier, privately-held global manufacturer and supplier of cutting-edge visual communication, event, and display products. Our client is looking for a Production Operator to join their team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2+ years working in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret proofs, work instructions, BOM’s, and associated production procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer knowledge including the ability to utilize all systems required by production
  • Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, proven organizational and planning abilities, as well as outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of outstanding attendance
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, reading and writing
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues to resolution
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding production deadlines
  • Effective time management skills necessary
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, reach
  • Vision requirements – close vision, distance vision, depth perception
  • Frequently lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
  • Frequently Push/pull up to 40 lbs., occasionally 50-100 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to monitor workload, prioritize workload, and redeploy resources as needed in the assigned Value Streams.
  • Ability to ensure jobs are flowing through production process properly by troubleshooting inventory, equipment, graphic, and other issues that persist.
  • Communicate daily equipment and workload status with outgoing/incoming value stream shift leads and Production employees.
  • Work effectively with upstream and downstream value streams to meet deadlines and ship dates, report relevant shift and department status to the Value Stream Supervisor or Leads.
  • Understand workplace hazards and follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
  • Promote 5S rules by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • In conjunction with Value Stream supervisor, recommend and implement process improvements to favorably impact safety, quality, delivery and productivity metrics.
  • Manage cell and area inventory.
  • All other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor or Leads.
  • Ability to operate and adjust machines, knowing which material to use
  • Ability to read measuring devices to measure materials and cut material precisely to customer specifications.
  • Ability to read simple proofs and blueprints
