About The Position

This position is unclassified per Section 124.11(A)(29). The final applicants selected for these positions will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to appointment to test for illegal drug use. Requirements

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division.
• In accordance with Section 124.11 (B)(2) of Revised Code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

• Flag/traffic control for highway maintenance
• Drive pickup truck to set out/pick up signs & follow mowing crew
• Roadside litter pickup, clean &/or wash vehicles & equipment
• Clean/hose down garage areas.
• Use weed eater to trim around buildings, fences, etc.
• Help clean up roadsides when work crews are cutting brush/tree trimming
• Answer phone &/or radio when clerk is unavailable
