Our internship program is designed for full-time students currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university and recent graduates in North America. Where You Will Work Freeport-McMoRan is a leading international metals company with global headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support our operations in accounting and finance, human resources, health and safety, information technology, planning, engineering, and more. Our hybrid internship program allows interns to work virtually as well as come together in person regularly at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or our site locations. Interns participating in our hybrid internship program will be expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance – 50 miles one-way – of the company’s corporate offices to ensure availability when meeting attendance/collaboration is needed. Interns living more than 50 miles away would be required to relocate and would be eligible for travel and housing assistance. What You Will Do Under general supervision, assists with variety of College Talent Acquisition related projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year university pursuing a degree, bachelor’s or higher, in an appropriate Human Resources or Business discipline, or closely related field; OR
• Recent graduate (within 12 months prior to internship start date) with a degree, bachelor’s or higher, in Human Resources, Business or closely related field.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Possesses strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Highly accurate and detail oriented.
• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to understand, apply and communicate verbal and written work and safety-related instructions, procedures, job assignments and applicable safety standards in English.
• Must be able to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear, and see.
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to thirty (30) pounds during the workday.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate intern communications.
• Assist with creating and updating reporting tools used to track internship program.
• Communicate, via phone and email, directly with interns, site HR team members and various management to gather critical information, respond to inquiries and provide updates.
• Track, monitor and follow-up on recruitment tasks to ensure completion and update Success Factors and tracking tool spreadsheet as required, to reflect current status.
• Generate routine reports from the ATS and Intern tracking database as assigned.
• Assist and coordinate various intern functions and activities.
• Perform other duties as requested.
