About The Position

The Summer Intern will support the Validation team in evaluating and optimizing the revalidation strategy for vial washer and depyrogenation tunnel processes. Under the guidance of a mentor, the intern will conduct data analysis, perform risk assessments, and contribute to the development of a worst-case vial size approach. This role offers hands-on experience in pharmaceutical process validation, technical writing, and risk-based decision-making..

Requirements

  • Applicants must attend an accredited university in Puerto Rico or reside in Puerto Rico.
  • Seniors graduating in Spring or Summer 2026 are eligible to apply only if they will be continuing their education for the following semester (Fall 2026).
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with statistical tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, organizational, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly.
  • Proven teamwork skills, self-starter, results oriented and build and maintain strong relationships with multiple groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Completed coursework in Heat Transfer, Statistics, or Process Engineering preferred.
  • experience with statistical tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing historical validation data and current control strategies.
  • Support the execution of risk assessments to identify worst-case vial sizes.
  • Perform statistical analysis, as necessary, to justify proposed strategy changes.
  • Prepare technical documentation and presentation materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in technical discussions.
  • Follow instructions and work independently on assigned tasks with regular mentor check-ins.
