Job Description: At Regions, the Emerging Talent Program (ETP) Corporate Banking Group Intern Program offers a 10-week hands-on experience in one of three tracks: Corporate Banking, Commercial Credit Products or Real Estate Banking. Throughout the summer, each intern will receive training, coaching, networking opportunities, and exposure to multiple businesses. Interns in the Corporate Banking Group will enjoy developing skills within a team environment, completing meaningful tasks, and collaborating with senior managers on live projects. Interns will also participate in a practical and technical curriculum that enhances skills and work experience. This internship opportunity will spend time on two teams—CBG Operations and CBG Risk—providing a comprehensive view of how both groups support the Corporate Banking Group. The Regions Operations & Risk Management Summer Internship Program provides college students with hands‑on exposure to the operational and risk management functions that enable efficient, well‑controlled execution across the bank. Internship opportunities span key areas within Operations and Risk Management, each playing a critical role in supporting day‑to‑day processes, strengthening controls, and enhancing the bank’s overall operational resilience. Because this role supports both CBG Operations and CBG Risk, interns gain a uniquely broad perspective on how operational execution and risk oversight work together across the loan lifecycle. Summer Interns contribute as key team members within their assigned groups, supporting initiatives directly tied to complex loan closings, syndication administration, construction monitoring, collateral management, and regulatory compliance. These activities are essential to ensuring accuracy, maintaining operational integrity, and reinforcing sound risk‑management practices across the loan lifecycle. In addition to their Operations exposure, interns will support enterprise risk activities by assisting in business unit risk assessments, conducting control reviews and testing, and helping manage findings and metrics. This role will contribute to governance and reporting for risk committees and work closely with the Corporate Banking Group to design controls, develop and track remediation plans, and participate in risk‑related work for large‑scale initiatives and system changes. The intern will also partner with the second line of defense risk management teams to strengthen the control environment, ensure alignment with policy and regulatory expectations, and support ongoing risk program execution across the organization. This associate will work with CBG associates, Operational Risk and Compliance Risk Management teams, BSA/AML Risk Teams, and potentially Regulatory Operations and Operations teams. Interns also gain exposure to senior leaders and cross‑functional partners, building a broad understanding of how Operations and Risk Management collaborate to strengthen governance, streamline processes, and enhance operational effectiveness across the organization.
