About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting machine operators with all activities related to their assigned machine. This includes setup, operation, clean-up, quality checks, and recommending operational improvements. The position requires a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be able to read and follow instructions on factory masters, read a tape measure with speed and accuracy, and calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurements, volume, and rate. They should also be able to apply concepts of high school math and possess a common-sense understanding to carry out instructions. A working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities, product layouts, production specifications, and quality standards is necessary.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist machine operators with setup, operation, clean-up, and quality checks.
  • Recommend improvements to operations.
  • Work at a fast pace to adhere to the production schedule.
  • Assist in the set-up of slotting, feed, and die cut sections on the machine accurately.
  • Monitor board quality for defects and report problems to the operator.
  • Complete all necessary reporting accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Cross-train on other machines.
