About The Position

This position is for a 1st Grade Teacher. The role requires a candidate who can establish positive working relationships with teachers, parents, and administrators through professional communication. The teacher will need to demonstrate knowledge and consistent application of legal and ethical practices, as well as the principles and methodologies of effective teaching. A thorough understanding of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is also essential. The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and a proven ability to report to work regularly and punctually are required.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan Elementary teaching certification with Elementary K-5 (all subjects) or Lower Elementary Education (ZO) teaching endorsement.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with teachers, parents, and administrators through professional communication.
• Knowledge and consistent application of the legal and ethical practices
• Thorough knowledge and application of the principles and methodologies of effective teaching
• In-depth understanding of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)
• Thorough understanding of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS)
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Must have the proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
