About The Position

Resurrection School in Lansing, Michigan is accepting applications for a full-time 1st Grade teaching position for the fall of 2026. All teachers within the Diocese are ministers of the Church, and this position includes religious instruction as part of the daily curriculum. Therefore, all applicants must be practicing Catholics who are passionate about providing authentic faith formation for their students. Resurrection School partners with parents in providing a nurturing Catholic environment focused on academic excellence, where students grow into disciples who know, love and serve our Lord Jesus Christ. We are a Catholic Liberal Arts school serving Preschool through 8th grade students, and we believe that each child is a unique gift from God, endowed with individual gifts and talents.

Requirements

• Practicing Catholic.
• Passionate about providing authentic faith formation for students.
• Sincere love for children.
• High comfort level with classroom management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents.
• Strong foundation in all facets of the curriculum.

Nice To Haves

• Course work or personal study in Early Literacy.
• Course work or personal study in Catholic Liberal Arts.
• Valid State of Michigan teaching certificate.
• Ability to complete a teacher certification/credentialing program.
• Prior teaching experience.
