About The Position

Willow Ridge Elementary is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1st Grade Elementary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that fosters academic growth and social development for our young learners. This full-time position requires a passion for teaching, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to engage and inspire students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for elementary education in the state.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning experiences.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Nice To Haves

• Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
• Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Foster a love for learning by incorporating hands-on activities, technology, and interactive lessons into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the educational experience and support school initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and trends.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes student well-being and engagement.
• Support students' social and emotional development by implementing strategies for conflict resolution and positive behavior reinforcement.
