About The Position

As part of Sanguine Bioscience’s mobile function, you are serving as the face of Sanguine while out in the field. It is important for our mobile contractors to be comfortable and well-versed in the at-home setting while representing the brand of Sanguine professionally and personally. Mobile medical staff will perform a variety of protocol-specific procedures including but not limited to phlebotomy, vitals, physical exam, sample processing, packaging and shipment of applicable goods, delivery, and transport of materials per protocol. The above activities must be conducted per clinical research standards, including but not limited to IATA, HIPAA, and OSHA. Mobile staff must be familiar with the protocol and procedures being practiced. Additionally, managing personal inventory of supplies and equipment supplied by Sanguine will be required.

Requirements

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician Certificate (CPT) or similar depending on state law to include proof of state required immunizations and vaccinations
  • 2+ years phlebotomy experience is required.
  • Ownership of a Mobile Centrifuge (preferred, not required)
  • Flexible Schedule Availability
  • Must be organized and willing to manage the supplies required to bring to the donors home.
  • Willingness to collect height, weight, temperature, blood pressure- write all this data on a source worksheet defined by the sponsor.
  • Willingness to wear PPE
  • Willing to drive up to 150 miles one way for a visit.
  • Regular access to automobile
  • Car Insurance on the automobile
  • Track record of being on time
  • Ownership of an iPhone or Android smartphone capable of taking pictures.
  • Personable and Friendly
  • Responsive and has regular access to a working email address
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using mobile technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric phlebotomy experience is helpful
  • Experience supporting clinical trials is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all field phlebotomy and biospecimens are collected (according to established policies) accurately and on time.
  • Carefully label tubes for transport and ship accordingly in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the delivery of the biospecimens in a timely manner.
  • Disposes of biohazard containers as scheduled.
  • Work independently and autonomously at assigned biospecimens draw locations.
  • Be responsible for all equipment provided to them.
  • Work cooperatively and fully communicates any issues that arise.
  • Keep the donor's best interest in mind when arriving at assigned biospecimens draw site. Any unsafe issues or conditions must be followed according to established policies and procedures.
  • Available for training throughout the year and at any given time.
  • Supplies to be sent to phlebotomists home prior to visit and include: PPE, Tubes, Cryovials, balance tubes, etc, Cold Packs when needed, Venipuncture kit & KPA specimen transport bags
  • Procedures/Collections may involve: Blood collection, Lab procedures per lab manual, Urinalysis, Vital signs (Required to use a portable BP device, scale, thermometer), Weight, Height
  • Demonstrate exceptional telephone etiquette and be able to greet donors in a polite and friendly manner.
  • Adhere to Sanguine Biosciences' code of grooming and dress code.
  • Promote a positive image to donors, employees, and the public in general.
